Divine Intervention Part 1
Intervention comes from the Latin intervenire, meaning “to come between, interrupt.” It could also mean to step in, to get involve, so as to alter or hinder an action. Often an intervention is intended to make things better.
Divine Intervention simply means God getting involved in the affairs of the world or Man. The bible gave us so many references of how God intervened into the affairs of man. Let’s quickly examine two Characters from the bible.
Moses is born. Exodus 2:1-10
When Moses was conceived there was a decree by King Pharaoh that the entire Hebrew male child should be killed at birth. However, it was in a time like this that Moses was delivered and the mid wives discovered that he was a goodly child. After Moses was hidden for three month his mother went and put him in the river that was meant to be the grave of the Hebrew male child without Guide and Guard. Nothing ever happens in our lives unless God allows it to. God usually allows something to happen when we allow it to. What is bound in heaven is bound on earth, and what is loosed in heaven is loosed on earth. What you allow, God allows. But there are times when even though you allow something to allow, God doesn’t allow it. This is Divine Intervention taking place for certain reasons that God has. After Moses mother threw his son into the river she was crying also his son was also crying then the Almighty God stepped in and caused Pharaoh Daughter that had a little atom of compassion to arise she and her maids came to the river at the exact spot where Moses was to take her birth.
Exodus. 2:5-6 And the daughter of Pharaoh came down to wash herself at the river; and her maidens walked along by the river’s side; and when she saw the ark among the flags, she sent her maid to fetch it. 6 And when she had opened it, she saw the child: and, behold, the babe wept. And she had compassion on him, and said, this is one of the Hebrews’ children.
The wedding at Cana. John 2:1-10.
Before the day of wedding, invitation will be sent out to invite various kinds of guest to the occasion. The wedding at Cana has the same feature and many people were also invited among whom will have Jesus mother, his disciples and Jesus himself. When the wedding was at it early stage wine got finished and people in the occasion were looking for alternative but the mother of Jesus went to Jesus and told him they have no wine.
If you invite Jesus ahead in any of your ventures in life he is able to take care of all the problems that come behind it. It would have been a thing of shame if the governor of the occasion asked the bridegroom while didn’t you provide enough wine for the event but because there was a divine intervention the story changed and the governor of the event was now asking him why did you provided sweetness instead of bitterness. From today people will start to ask you why you did provide sweetness instead of bitterness.
No human effort or strength can give you your unlimited grace and glory for it is not by might nor by power but by my spirit says the Lord. Zec. 4:6
Moses attempted to deliver the Israelites by his own might, but he ended up being a fugitive because he killed a man, he had to run for his dare life because Pharaoh sought to take his own life also. (Exo.2:15)
But when God got involved the story changed. Exo. 12:30-32.
And Pharaoh rose up in the night, he, and all his servants, and all the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in Egypt; for there was not a house where there was not one dead. 31 And he called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, Rise up, and gets you forth from among my people, both ye and the children of Israel; and go, serve the LORD, as ye have said. 32 Also take your flocks and your herds, as ye have said, and be gone; and bless me also.
After thousands of Egyptians were slain in one night, Pharaoh was the one begging Moses to leave his land in peace and the most interesting thing was that he even asks Moses to bless him after the death of thousands of people. It’s was Divine intervention that made the difference.
Hannah also confirms it after God intervene in her life in the book of 1 Sam. 2:9b for by strength shall no man prevail. Also our Lord Jesus said no man can do anything without him. John 15: 5b for without me ye can do nothing.
There is one thing that every man need for a total turn around in life and that is HELP. Are you looking for help from Abroad or help from Above? .You don’t have to get to U.K before you are O.K What you need now is not necessary a Man of God but a Man from God and it can only be sent to you by divine Intervention.
Beloved, if you don’t aspire for a total turn around then you will expire but for you not to expire let’s consider five things you can do to provoke divine intervention.
